Editorial policy
Naira Converter is an automated converter for the Nigerian naira. It publishes the official exchange rate of the day, taken from the Central Bank of Nigeria and stamped with the date of the rate, .
How a rate is checked before it is printed
The rate is pulled from the official source, stamped with its date and published once on working days. No hand edits are made to the figure, and nothing is adjusted to look better or rounder. If the source has not published a rate for the day, the page shows the last official rate with its date rather than a guess.
What this site does not publish
- Offers to buy or sell currency, and any prices for a transaction
- Predictions or forecasts of where the rate may go
- Unofficial or parallel-market figures
- Names of bureaus de change, banks, payment apps or remittance services
Corrections
If a figure looks wrong, report it and the page is checked against the source. A confirmed error is fixed on the page and the correction is stated there. The site is automated and has no staff to name.
How the site is funded
It earns from a clearly marked sponsored link. The sponsor has no say in the rates, and the rate is never changed to suit an advertiser.
