Most currency pages show how much local money a single US dollar buys. This page works the other way round: it shows how many US dollars a single Nigerian naira is worth at the official rate of .
Who needs the reverse direction
You need this figure when you are selling naira rather than buying it. Typical cases are paying a foreign bill from local money, sending money abroad, or pricing something in dollars when your cash is in naira.
Why the figure is a small decimal
A single naira buys only a fraction of a dollar, so the rate appears as a decimal with several places. That is normal, not an error. Multiply it by the amount you hold to get the dollar value.
Using the table
- Find the row for a round naira amount close to yours.
- Read the dollar value in the next column.
- For amounts between rows, multiply the rate by your own figure.
